World Extreme Cagefighting brings its first event to Denver with WEC 51 and they are looking to make an impact.  The WEC today officially announced its plans for WEC 51 at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, CO as well as releasing five of the signed bouts for this event.  The main event consists of a featherweight title fight between the champion Jose Aldo vs Manny Gamburyan and the co-main event brings a us a rematch between Colorado’s own Donald Cerrone and Jamie Varner.  These two fighters went to war at WEC 38 and since then fight fans have been asking to get these two back in the cage.  The rest of the card is just as sweet as the co-main events.  The WEC will be bringing its best with fights like Miguel Torres vs Charlie Valencia, Leonard Garcia vs Mark Hominick and Chan Sung Jung vs George Roop.  All of these fights have the potential to be the fight of the year.

From preliminary fights to the main event this has the potential to be one of the greatest cards in WEC history and it is coming to the Mile High City.  The full event includes:

Tickets for this event go on sale Thursday July 29, 2001 for WEC.tv newslette subscribers and Saturday July 31, 2010 to the general public.  This is one of the greatest MMA events to come to Colorado since the original UFC1 back in 1993.
