Jen “Lil’ Ice” Berg is a female mixed martial artist with a kickboxing background, and she’ll head back to her roots on June 25 when she competes at Ring of Fire’s all-Muay Thai event, “Muay Thai Mayhem: Stand Up & Fight!,” at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colo.
Berg, who competes as a 105-pounder in MMA, will square off with Diana Rael in the evening’s co-headliner. The bout will be contested under unified kickboxing rules, with a bout duration of two five-minute rounds.
Berg and Rael are no strangers, having locked horns previously. In their first meeting, which took place at Ring of Fire 35, Berg emerged victorious with a second-round TKO stoppage of Rael.
“It seems like every month I am signing a bout agreement and then the fighter pulls out with some excuse and its hard to get people to fight me, so I decided I would do this to stay busy,” said Berg of her decision to accept a Muay Thai fight while she awaits her next MMA fight.
Berg holds a record of 2-3 as a mixed martial artist and trains out of the Grudge Training Center in Colorado. She is coming off a February submission loss to Angelica Chavez at Evolution Combat Sports Championship: Friday Night Fights 2.
