Jordan Mein (22-7) earned a unanimous decision over reigning Dream welterweight champion and Strikeforce veteran Marius Zaromskis (14-6) in a fight that made Sherdog’s list of 10 June Tussles Worth Watching…UFC and Pride veteran Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (12-8) took home the unanimous nod over Roy Boughton (5-2)…UFC and WEC veteran Joe Doerksen (47-15) outpointed UFC vet Luigi Fioravanti (22-10) for the unanimous decision victory…Bellator veteran Nick Mamalis (17-7) eked out a controversial split decision win over Adrian Wooley (7-2)…Antonio Carvalho (13-4) took all three rounds on the judges’ scorecards to claim the unanimous decision over UFC veteran Douglas Evans (13-9).


June 10
Aggression MMA 7: Confrontation (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada)

MFC veteran Ryan Ford (16-3) scored a third-round TKO of King of the Cage vet Nick Hinchliffe (18-8). The win earns Ford a spot in the fight to determine a new Aggression MMA welterweight champion.

Cage Fury Fighting Championships 9: Beach Brawl (Atlantic City, N.J.)

Strikeforce veteran John Cholish (7-1) captured the CFFC lightweight title with a second-round guillotine choke submission of Bellator and WEC vet Jameel Massouh (26-9)…Strikeforce and Bellator veteran Igor Gracie (4-2) locked in a guillotine choke in the first round to submit Quinton McCottrell (4-7).

Classic Entertainment and Sports MMA: Nowhere to Run (Lincoln, R.I.)

ShoXC veteran Tiawan Howard (9-7) sneaked out with a split decision win over UFC and WEC vet Alex Karalexis (10-6)…TUF 12 alum and Strikeforce veteran Marc Stevens (14-6) earned a unanimous decision over Abe Pitrowski (5-1)…Saul Almeida (9-1) earned a unanimous nod over Cody Stevens (8-2).

Maximum Fighting Championship 30: Up Close and Personal (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada)

Cobb (white trunks) vs. Fickett

UFC and Sengoku veteran Brian Cobb (19-6) fended off the early submission threats from UFC vet Drew Fickett (41-14) to mount a comeback and score a first-round TKO victory…Marcus Davis (19-8) took home a unanimous decision over fellow UFC veteran Pete Spratt (22-20)…Dhiego Lima (6-0), brother of MFC welterweight champion Douglas Lima, knocked out Jamie Toney (14-7) in the first round…Sheldon Westcott (5-1-1) earned a unanimous decision over EliteXC and WEC veteran Thomas Denny (27-19-1).

BAMMA USA: Badbeat 2 (Commerce, Calif.)

Bellator veteran Georgi Karakhanyan (16-3-1) secured a rear-naked choke on Vince Ortiz (7-6) for the first-round submission win.

Gruesome MMA 4: Provoked (Pikeville, Ky.)

UFC and WEC veteran Jamie Varner (17-5-1) was ruled medically ineligible for his scheduled bout with Jeremy Carper (3-3).

Pacific X-treme Combat 24 (Manila, Philippines)

Joe Taimanglo (15-4-1) needed just 83 seconds to secure a rear-naked choke and submit Young Jun Kim (0-1).

Shooto: Shooting Disco 15: Try Hard, Japan! (Tokyo)

Akihiro Murayama (11-5-6) captured the 167-pound Shooto Pacific Rim championship with a unanimous decision nod over Yoichiro Sato (8-4-2).
