SOURCE: MMA Junkie Brett Rogers Arrested and Charged With Domestic Violence: Released From Strikeforc Brett Rogers was arrested and charged with Felony 3rd degree assault as well as with misdemeanor Endangerment of a Child after an altercation with his wife at his home in Minnesota on Wednesday. Bail was set at $100,000 for Rogers. Following Rogers’s arrest he was subsequently release from Strikeforce. Rogers started out his mixed martial arts career with ten straight victories before dropping three of his last four fights. SOURCE: MMA Weekly Shane Carwin Rep Clarifies No Drug Testing Situation Following UFC 131 Jason Genet, manager for Shane Carwin today told mmajunkie.com the details behind the situation of Carwin not taking a drug test after his loss to dos Santos. “Carwin offered to submit a urine sample following the loss however it was felt that Carwin’s medical needs out-weighed his need to submit a urine specimen” Genet indicated. Since it was released that Carwin did not submit to a post fight drug test there has been much speculation to the reason behind it. SOURCE: MMA Junkie UFC President Suggests That Marquardt’s Testosterone Use May Have Been Performance Enhancing Dana White stated today that he has given Marquardt numerous chances and after this last ordeal Marquardt will never fight for the UFC again. White indicated that he did not know about Marquardt’s medical situations until days before the event nor did he know that Marquardt had been suspended by the NJSAC. White further cited Marquardt’s previous positive tests for steroids in 2005 as part of the reasons for his dismissal.
