Matyushenko Injured; Matt Hamill Steps in to Face Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 133

Matt Hamill enters the UFC 133 card after fighting just two months ago against Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson at UFC 130 in May, a fight in which Hamill lost via unanimous decision.

Hamill gets matched up with another tough opponent in Gustafsson, who holds back-to-back submission wins in the UFC.

Matt Mitrione vs. Cheick Kongo Latest Addition to UFC 137 Fight Card

A heavyweight contest has been added to UFC 137 as former Ultimate Fighter Season 10 competitor Matt Mitrione takes on Cheick Kongo.

On Thursday, UFC officials confirmed that the fight will take place in October.

Featherweights Josh Grispi vs. Matt Grice slated for UFC 136

A fight featuring two 145-pound fighters, who are both in need of a win, are set to square off at UFC 136.

Officials announced today that former WEC contender Josh Grispi (14-3) and Matt Grice (13-4 ) have been added to the event.

UFC 136 will take place in Houston’s Toyota Center on Oct. 8.

‘Pato’ Out, Chute Boxe Prospect ‘Sertanejo’ in at UFC 134

Brazilian featherweight Felipe “Sertanejo” Arantes is now under contract with the UFC and will make his debut against Yuri Alcantara at UFC 134 in Rio de Janeiro.

Arantes replaces Antonio “Pato” Carvalho, who has not released information on his withdrawal.

UFC 134 takes place Aug. 27 at Rio de Janeiro’s HSBC Arena. Headlining the event will be UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva defending his belt against Yushin Okami.

Milton Vieira vs. Bobby Green targeted for Strikeforce Challengers 18

Two recent additions to Strikeforce will battle in the upcoming Challengers event.

KOTC lightweight title holder Bobby Green (15-4) and inventor of the anaconda-choke Milton Vieira (12-7-1) both signed with Strikeforce earlier in the day.

Now the newest members of the roster will square off at Strikeforce Challengers 18, which takes place on Aug. 12 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Former Pride Grand Prix Champion Kazuo Misaki Signs with Strikeforce, Returns as Welterweight

Misaki (24-11-2) has fought many tough fighters over the last several years, where he competed in Pride, Sengoku, and many other organizations.

Up next for the Japanese fighter will be his move to welterweight as he has signed a deal with Strikeforce to fight in the 170 pound division.
