Faber-Bowles winner gets Cruz next The winner of the Urijah Faber-Brian Bowles fight will take on Dominick Cruz, who will put his belt on the line against Demetrious Johnson on Oct. 1 in Washington, D.C., at UFC on Versus 6. Faber (25-5) will get a rematch for the title with his longtime foe if he defeats Bowles (10-1), who is also looking for revenge on Cruz. The two will face off at UFC 139, which takes place on Nov. 19 from San Jose, Calif. Source: ESPN Cincinnati official as host of “Strikeforce: Heavyweight Grand Prix Semifinals” on Sept. 10 Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker announced Friday that Strikeforce will head to the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati to host the semifinals of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix on Sept. 10. The card features both bouts in the Grand Prix, as late replacement Daniel Cormier takes on Antonio “Big Foot” Silva, while Josh Barnett locks horns with Sergei Kharitonov. In the main event, Strikeforce middleweight champion Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza will put his belt on the line against Luke Rockhold.
