UFC on Versus 5 brings in 6,751 fans for $539K gate

The UFC’s first-ever event in Wisconsin earned a reported 6,751 attendees for a $539,000 gate.

UFC officials announced the figures following Sunday’s “UFC on Versus 5: Hardy vs. Lytle” event, which took place at Milwaukee’s Bradley Center.

Featuring the retirement fight of 20-time UFC veteran Chris Lytle, who earned $130,000 in bonuses and a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle, UFC on Versus 5’s main card aired on Versus.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has released the reported salaries for Strikeforce Challengers 18, which took place on Aug. 12 in Las Vegas.  The figures do not include any additional money earned through sponsorships or bonuses.

Strikeforce Challengers 18 Medical Suspensions

Strikeforce Challengers 18: Gurgel vs. Duarte, the promotion’s second event in Las Vegas, took place Friday night, Aug. 12, at the Palms Casino Resort.

On Monday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission released the post-fight suspensions for the event.

  • Joe Duarte – Must have his left middle finger x-rayed and, if positive, must be cleared by an orthopedic doctor or he is suspended until Feb. 9, 2012.
  • Nate James – Must have his right foot and ankle x-rayed and, if positive, must be cleared by an orthopedic doctor or he is suspended until Feb. 9, 2012. He faces a minimum suspension until Sept. 12 with no contact prior to Sept. 3 due to a scalp laceration.
  • Derrick Mehmen – Suspended until Sept. 27 with no contact prior to Sept. 12 due to a left eye laceration.
  • Keith Berry – Must have left hand x-rayed and, if positive, must be cleared by an orthopedic doctor or he is suspended until Feb. 9, 2012. He faces a minimum suspension until Sept. 12 with no contact prior to Sept. 3 due to left eyebrow laceration.
  • Lukasz Les – Suspended until Sept. 12 with no contact prior to Sept. 3.
  • Chad Leonhardt – Suspended until Sept. 12 with no contact prior to Sept. 3.
  • Sterling Ford – Suspended until Sept. 12 with no contact prior to Sept. 3.
