UFC Live 5 Fighter Salaries

The now-retired Chris Lytle not only went out with a win, but also took home a major chunk of change.  The welterweight topped the earnings list from Sunday’s UFC Live 5 event, which took place in Milwaukee.  That comes on top of $65,000 bonuses for Fight of the Night, along with opponent Dan Hardy, and Submission of the Night.

The Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services released the official salary figures for the event today.

  • Chris Lytle: $70,000 (includes $35,000 win bonus)
  • Dan Hardy: $25,000
  • Ben Henderson: $34,000 (includes $17,000 win bonus)
  • Jim Miller: $35,000
  • Donald Cerrone: $44,000 (includes $22,000 win bonus)
  • Charles Oliveira: $12,000
  • Duane “Bang” Ludwig: $32,000 (includes $16,000 win bonus)

UFC Live 5 Medical Suspensions

UFC Live 5 took place Sunday evening in Milwaukee.  The Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services today released the post-fight suspensions for the event.

  • Jason Reinhardt: Suspended 30 days for mandatory medical rest period from a TKO.
  • T.J. O’Brien: Suspended indefinitely for rib, leg injuries.
  • Cole Miller: Suspended 30 days for right hand injury.
  • Alex Caceres: Suspended 30 days for mandatory medical rest period.
  • Jim Hettes: Suspended 30 days or mandatory medical rest period and a head laceration.
  • Kyle Noke: Suspended indefinitely, must have MRI on knee.
  • CB Dollaway: Suspended indefinitely, must have neurological exam, CT scan.
  • Duane Ludwig: Suspended indefinitely, must have physical exam, CT scan and must have right hand cleared by x-ray.
  • Amir Sadollah: Suspended indefinitely, must have neurological exam, CT scan.
  • Charles Oliveira: Suspended 30 days for mandatory medical rest period.
  • Ben Henderson: Suspended 30 days, must have elbow cleared by x-ray.
  • Jim Miller: Suspended indefinitely, must have physical exam, CT scan.
  • Dan Hardy: Suspended 30 days for mandatory medical rest period.

Strikeforce Challengers 18 drug tests come back clean

Ten fighters from the Aug. 12 Strikeforce Challengers 18 event underwent drug testing at the event.  All fighters tested negative for both drugs of abuse and performance-enhancers.  Headliners Joe Duarte and Jorge Gurgel also underwent out-of-competition testing, with their tests coming back clean.  The fighters tested at the event were Duarte, Gurgel, Nate James, Pat Healy, Ronda Rousey, Derrick Mehman, Gian Villante, Nah-Shon Burrell, Mike Bronzoulis and Milton Viera.
