“Mayhem” Miller arrested for assaulting his sister

Jason “Mayhem” Miller, the host of MTV’s Bully Beatdown and one of the coaches on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter, was arrested for simple assault and false imprisonment.  Miller was allegedly at a party with his sister, but when she tried to leave the party Miller placed her in a headlock and refused to let her go.

Miller was released on a $5,000 secure bond.


Poirier faces Garza is the first fight announced for the Fox card

The UFC has announced the first fight for the Nov. 12 card that will air on Fox.  Dustin Poirier looks to continue his UFC undefeated streak against Pablo Garza in what is sure to be a preliminary bout for the card.

UFC Fox Fight Night has also been confirmed to take place in Anaheim, Calif.


Prospect Ramos signs with the UFC and is set to fight on UFC 134

Undefeated welterweight prospect Luis Ramos has signed a multi-fight contract with the UFC.  He is wasting little time getting into the Octagon, as he will replace Mike Swick on UFC 134 against Erick Silva.

UFC 134 takes place on Aug. 27 in HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.


John Cholish and Mitch Clarke agree to fight at UFC 140

Two UFC newcomers agree to square off at UFC 140.  Former Cornell wrestler and Renzo Gracie student John Cholish will face undefeated Canadian welterweight Mitch Clarke.

UFC 140 takes place on Dec. 10 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.


Bellator prospect Mirzaev arrested in connection with a student’s death

Undefeated Russian prospect Rasul Mirzaev has been arrested for the death of 19-year-old Russian student Ivan Agafonov.  Mirzaev, who had recently signed with Bellator, had a confrontation with the student outside a night club where a single blow was thrown.  Agafonov died four days later.

The official charge is intentional infliction of serious bodily injury that resulted in the death of the victim and carries up to 15 years in prison.
