Shogun Welcomes Dan Henderson back to the UFC at UFC 139

Dan Henderson and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua have verbally agreed to face off at UFC 139 on Nov. 19 at UFC 139 in San Jose, Calif.

Henderson returns to the promotion after two years of competing in Strikeforce, where he captured the light heavyweight championship.

The bout will likely be the main event of the card.

Bobby Lashley inks Shark Fights deal

Free-agent fighter Bobby Lashley and Shark Fights have verbally agreed to a three-fight deal.

A location on his first fight is not yet determined, but it is expected to be in Missouri. Lashley attended Missouri Valley College. The fight will be in November, to be aired on Fuel TV.

Facebook to stream three remaining UFC 135 preliminary bouts

Three fights from this weekend’s “UFC 135: Jones vs. Rampage” event will stream live on Facebook.

The event is headlined by a light-heavyweight title fight between current champion Jon Jones and former champ Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and takes place Sept. 24 at Denver’s Pepsi Center.

The evening’s five-bout main card airs live on pay-per-view, and a two bout “UFC Prelims” special airs on Spike TV.

Ricardo Romero vs. James Te Huna, Cole Escovedo vs. Takeya Mizugaki and Junior Assuncao vs. Eddie Yagin will be featured on the Facebook stream.

Germaine de Randamie scratched from Strikeforce Challengers 19

With Julie Kedzie forced off of Strikeforce Challengers 19 due to injury, her planned opponent, Germaine de Randamie, has also been pulled from the card.

Strikeforce was unable to secure a suitable opponent in time for Friday’s event.

The event features a light-heavyweight main event between Lorenz Larkin and Nick Rossborough.  It takes place Sept. 23 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The main card airs on Showtime.
