Dream 17 adds 11th bout with Ikuhisha Minowa vs. Baru Harn

Dream announced today that they will be adding an 11th bout to Dream. 17 with an open weight fight between Ikuhisha Minowa and Baru Harn.  Dream takes place Sept. 24 at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, and will air live on HDNet, 3 a.m. ET.

Lightweight champion Eddie Alverez suffers injury, Bellator 54 championship fight delayed

Bellator today announced that Eddie Alverez has suffered an undisclosed injury and has been forced out of his upcoming title fight.  The specifics of the injury and a time table for Alverez’s return were not disclosed.  Alverez took to his Twitter account today, informing everyone that it is not a serious injury and he expects to be ready to fight again in the next 30 days.

Quinn Mulhern vs. Danny Davis added to Friday’s Strikeforce Challengers 19

Strikeforce today announced a late addition to the Strikeforce Challengers 19 card, set to take place this Friday at the Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas.  Quinn Mulhern is set to take on Danny Davis on the preliminary portion of the card.  Both Mulhern and Davis are currently 0-1 under the Strikeforce banner and are in need of a win if they hope to move up the ranks.

Strikeforce Challengers 20 adds middleweights Anthony Smith vs. Adlan Amagov

Strikeforce today announced the newest addition to the Strikeforce Challengers 20 card when they revealed that Anthony Smith and Adlan Amagov have signed to fight each other.  Strikeforce Challengers 20 is set to take place Nov. 18 at the Pearl at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas and the main card will air on Showtime.

Ovince St. Preux vs. ex-champ Gegard Mousasi booked for Dec. 17 Strikeforce event

Strikeforce today announced the newest fight for the Dec. 17 event when they made it public that former light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi will meet top prospect Ovince St. Preux.  The specifics related to this event have not yet been released.
