Global Fight League 13: Heavy Hitters (Portland, Maine) UFC and MFC veteran Marcus Davis (20-8) needed just over a minute to submit Travis Coyle (9-5) via guillotine choke. Riot at the Hyatt: Packer vs. Viking (Minneapolis) Isaiah Larson (13-6) took home a decision victory over former Green Bay Packers running back and Bellator veteran Herbert Goodman (18-11). Shooto: Shootor’s Legacy 4 (Tokyo) Murayama (red trunks) vs. Nakamura In a fight that made Sherdog’s list of 10 September Tussles Worth Watching, Shooto Pacific Rim 168-pound champion Akihiro Murayama (12-5-6) secured a rear-naked choke in the first round to submit UFC and Sengoku veteran Keita Nakamura (21-5-2)…Despite admitting that he felt he lost the bout, Yoshihiro Koyama (16-5-1) was awarded a split decision victory in his Shooto Pacific Rim 154-pound title defense against Kenichiro Togashi (12-8-5). Wild Bill’s Fight Night 40 (Duluth, Ga.) Ronnie Rogers (10-6) earned a unanimous decision over UFC and Bellator veteran Diego Saraiva (21-16-1). Sept. 24 Battle of Botnia 4: Northern Lights…Out (Umea, Sweden) Tor Troeng (13-4-1) submitted Tomas Kuzela (18-14) in the second round via rear-naked choke.
