Herman-Russow off UFC 136, Garcia-Phan bout promoted to main card

Dave Herman has been forced out of his scheduled UFC 136 bout with Mike Russow due to an undisclosed injury.  With the loss of that match-up, the UFC today announced that the rematch between Leonard Garcia and Nam Phan has been promoted to the pay-per-view main card portion of the Oct. 8 event, set to take place in Houston.  Phan looks to avenge a controversial split decision loss he suffered to Garcia at the TUF 12 Finale.

Injuries transform Scanlon-Head to Maguire-Edwards at UFC 138

First, Mark Scanlon was forced out of his UFC 138 fight with James Head due to injury.  John Maguire stepped in to take his place.  However, Head has now fallen victim to injury as well.  TUF 13 alum Justin Edwards has stepped up to replace Head and will now face Maguire on Nov. 5 when the UFC returns to England.

UFC Live 6 Prelims to stream on Facebook

The six-fight preliminary card for Saturday’s UFC Live 6 event will stream live on the UFC’s Facebook page. Notable names on the prelim card include Yves Edwards, Shane Roller and Michael Johnson.  UFC Live 6 takes place at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
