UFC 137: Diaz Batters Penn; Kongo, Nelson Victorious

UFC 137 took place from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Oct. 29.  The card, originally slated to feature a welterweight title bout, was headlined by Nick Diaz vs. B.J. Penn after champion Georges St-Pierre was forced out with an injury.

Bellator 56: Askren Retains Title; Santos, Prindle Advance

Bellator traveled to the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan., for a highly-anticipated welterweight title fight between the champion Ben Askren and MMA veteran Jay Hieron. Also on the card were the two heavyweight semifinal fights as Eric Prindle took on Ron Sparks and Neil Grove battled Thiago Santos. The event was televised live on MTV2.
