Ryan Jimmo (16-1) successfully defended his MFC light heavyweight crown with a unanimous decision over UFC and Pride veteran Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (12-9) in a fight that made Sherdog’s list of 10 October Tussles Worth Watching. The bout was scored under an experimental half-point scoring system with Jimmo edging Sokoudjou with marks of 49-48, 49-48.5 and 49-48.5…UFC and Strikeforce veteran Terry Martin (22-9) scored a first-round TKO of Allen Hope (7-9)…Kajan Johnson (19-10-1) secured a rear-naked choke in the first round to submit TUF 9 alum Richie Whitson (11-2)…Cody Krahn (11-4) locked in a guillotine choke to submit Ryan Chiappe (8-7) in the first round.

Oct. 7
Fight Time 7: The Return (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)

The fight between UFC veteran Din Thomas (25-8) and George Sheppard (10-6) was a late scratch from the card, as Thomas was involved in a car accident on the way to the venue, suffering a broken rib and some minor cuts and bruises.

Instinct MMA: Instinct Fighting 1 (Boisbriand, Quebec, Canada)

Cote vs. Wallace

Steve Bosse (9-1) scored a first-round knockout of UFC veteran Houston Alexander (13-7)…UFC veteran Patrick Cote (16-7) scored a first-round TKO of UFC and Strikeforce vet Crafton Wallace (18-6-1) when Wallace suffered a leg injury…Eric Barrak (1-0) submitted Pride veteran Eric “Butterbean” Esch (14-9-1) via third-round guillotine choke…Martin Grandmont (12-5) landed a head kick to knock out William Sriyapai (12-6) in the first round.

Oct. 8
Apocalypse Fighting Championship (Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil)

UFC veteran Maiquel Falcao (28-4) scored a first-round TKO of Douglas del Rio (3-5)…Rafael Silva (12-3) eked out a split decision over Wagner Noronha (2-2).

Cage 16: 1st Defense (Espoo, Finland)

In a fight that made Sherdog’s 10 October Tussles Worth Watching, Anton Kuivanen (16-4) earned a unanimous decision over Thiago Meller (17-5)…Tom Niinimaki (16-5-1) needed just 69 seconds to knock out Johnny Frachey (13-9).

Cage Contender 11 (Belfast, Ireland)

Neil Wain (10-3) earned a majority decision over fellow UFC veteran Colin Robinson (9-10) in a heavyweight title bout…Norman Parke (15-2) took home a unanimous nod over Marcos Nardini (2-2).

Reality Fighting: Gonzaga vs. Porter (Uncasville, Conn.)

UFC veteran Gabriel Gonzaga (12-6) secured an arm-triangle choke in the third round to submit Parker Porter (5-3).

Rogue Fights 15: Five Knuckle Showdown (Redding, Calif.)

Bellator veteran D.J. Linderman (10-2) submitted Bill Widler (2-1).

Ultimate Warrior Challenge 17: Bad to the Bone (Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England)

Valentino Petrescu (12-2) earned a unanimous verdict over Stuart Tyrie (3-3)…Simeon Thoresen (16-2-1) needed just 34 seconds to secure a rear-naked choke and submit Manuel Garcia (20-14)…Lee Wieczorek (10-3) locked in a north-south choke in the first round to submit Stuart Davies (8-13).

Oct. 9
Championship Fighting Alliance 3 (Miami)

UFC and IFL veteran John Howard (15-7) earned a unanimous decision over Bellator vet Dennis Olson (12-7)…Patrick Cenoble (8-0) advanced to the CFA lightweight tournament finals with a third-round TKO of Trent McCown (4-1). Cenoble will lock horns with Yoislandy Izquierdo (5-0), who defeated Chris Garcia (3-1) in the other semi-final bout of the evening, in the tourney finals.
