Hatsu Hioki vs. Bart Palaszewski Agreed for UFC in Japan

Hatsu Hioki will return home for his second UFC bout, as he takes on Bart Palaszewski at UFC 144 in Japan.

Both Hioki and Palaszewski competed at UFC 137, with Hioki defeating George Roop by split decision and Palaszewski putting away Tyson Griffin in the first round by knockout.

UFC 144 is expected to take place on Feb. 26 from the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

Fedor, Monson Hit Scales at 238 Ahead of Showdown in Moscow

Former Pride superstar Fedor Emelianenko and UFC title contender Jeff Monson weighed in at 238 pounds for their fight on Sunday at M-1 Global in Moscow. Monson was late for the weigh-in on Saturday, but did however tip the scale later on.

Welterweights, Middleweights Vie for ‘TUF Brazil’ Slots on Dec. 14

The UFC is seeking Brazilian welterweights and middleweights for the first-ever international season of The Ultimate Fighter.

The promotion announced Saturday that tryouts for the show will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Dec. 14. Registration lasts all day on UFC’s Brazilian website, with the requirements being: must be at least 21-years-old, no older than 35, and have at least three professional fights with two wins.

While the tryouts for welterweight and middleweight are taking place, no word has been mentioned on the official weight classes that will be used for the season.
