Madadi ready to make UFC debut on FX’s first card

Top Swedish lightweight Reza Madadi is expected to make his promotional debut on Jan. 20 on the first ever UFC card on FX.  The 155-pounder currently holds a professional record of 11-2 including six submissions and is also currently riding a six-fight winning streak.  Currently, “Mad Dog” does not have an opponent for the fight, however there is speculation that he may take on Rafaello Oliveira.  The reason for question is that Oliveira is dealing with a hand injury that could prevent the fight from being officially booked to begin with.

Costa vs. Good cancelled from Bellator 59

Lyman Good was left without an opponent for this weekend’s Bellator card after Michael Costa suffered an injury and was forced out of the fight.  Because of the welterweight cancellation, a lightweight fight between Marcin Held and Phillipe Nover will be promoted to the main card and a catchweight fight between Karl Amoussou and Jesus Martinez will headline the preliminary card.

Bellator 59 will take place on Nov. 26 in Atlantic City, N.J., and will feature both the season five heavyweight and bantamweight tournament final, along with lightweight Kurt Pellegrino’s return to the cage.
