Anthony Johnson Weighs in at 204.2, Vitor Belfort Fight is on at UFC 142

Johnson came into the original weigh-in for his middleweight bout against Vitor Belfort at an absurd 197 pounds. On Saturday, Johnson tipped the scale at 204.2 pounds, forcing the fight to be contested at light heavyweight.

Belfort has agreed to fight still and will be around 205 pounds once he steps into the Octagon.

Dana White was furious at Johnson for missing weight, but “Rumble” didn’t seem to care.

It’s clear that if Johnson loses to Belfort at UFC 142, Johnson will be released by the company.

UFC on FX 1 loses Jimmo-Vemola; Replacement Sought for Madadi

UFC on FX 1 will be remembered for the numerous injuries that have occured leading up to the event.

A light heavyweight contest was expected to take place between Ryan Jimmo and Karlos Vemola, but has been scratched due to an injury to Jimmo.

Also, Reza Madadi has been forced out of his lightweight bout against Fabricio Camoes. A replacement for Madadi will be announced shortly.

UFC on FX 1 takes place on Jan. 20 from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. The event will be headlined by Jim Miller taking on Melvin Guillard in a lightweight battle.

UFC on FOX 3 targeted for May 5

The third edition of the UFC on FOX events has been announced and will take place on May 5.

At this point, no location, venue or fight card has been stated for the event.

The UFC has planned four events to be aired on FOX for the year 2012.

Tickets for UFC Event in Sweden sell out in three hours

Tickets for the first UFC event in Sweden have sold out in just three hours, making it the fastest sell-out event in Europe.

The venue will be the host of Fuel TV’s second event, which takes place at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm. The main event is scheduled to be Sweden’s own Alexander Gustafsson taking on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

Bruno Santos, Maiquel Falcao join Bellator’s season-six middleweight tourney

Bruno Santos and Maiquel Falcao are the latest editions to the Bellator season-six middleweight tournament.

Santos and Falcao join Victor O’Donnell, Brian Rogers and Giva Santana to the list of current members of the tournament, while additional participants will be announced soon.

The eight-man middleweight match-ups are set to begin in March on MTV2.

MFC 32 Fight Card Change-Up: Dhiego Lima vs. Nathan McCoy

A couple of injuries have been suffered that forced Maximum Fighting Championship officials to change up their Bitter Rivals card.

Bruno Carvalho, who was set to face Dheigo Lima, has suffered an injury. Nathan McCoy will now step in and take on Lima in a featured bout.

Also, Mukai Maromo has suffered a broken finger in training, allowing James Haddad to move up from his original undercard opponent to fight Dan Ring.

HDNet will broadcast MFC 32 live on Jan. 27 from the Mayfield Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

UFC president confirms Sao Paulo as next stop on promotion’s Brazilian tour

Dana White announced on Friday that the promotion is searching for venues in the Sao Paulo area to host a UFC event in June.

One bout that is possible for the event is between TUF: Brazil coaches Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva, along with the tournament finals fights.

The first UFC event to take place in Brazil was UFC 17.5: Ultimate Brazil, which took place in Sao Paulo and drew 8,500 in attendance.
