ProElite 3 Weigh-in Results: Grove and Minowa official

ProElite today conducted weigh-ins for Saturday evening’s ProElite 3 event. All of the main card fighters, including headliners Kendall Grove and Ikuhisa Minowa, made weight for their scheduled bouts.  ProElite 3 takes place in Honolulu and the main card airs live on HDNet.

Hamman out, Craig in against Kyle Noke at UFC on FX 2

With Jared Hamman forced to withdraw due to an injury, Legacy Fighting Championships middleweight champion Andrew Craig will get his chance inside the Octagon. Craig will replace Hamman and fight Kyle Noke at UFC on FX 2 on March 3. Craig is just 6-0 in his career, but does hold a victory over Bellator and WEC veteran Eric Schambari.

UFC on FX 2 takes place in Sydney, Australia. It is unknown at this time if the match-up between Noke and Craig will be part of the FX-televised main card or the Fuel TV preliminary card broadcast.

UFC: Erick Silva’s DQ loss stands

Erick Silva’s controversial disqualification loss to Carlo Prater at UFC 142 will not be overturned. UFC Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs Marc Ratner issued a statement late Thursday upholding the DQ verdict. In the statement, Ratner said that the referee’s verbal warning and his determination that the blows were intentional leave him unable to overturn the fight’s outcome.

Caros Fodor to battle Pat Healy at Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey

Another bout is now official for Strikeforce’s March 3 event. Lightweights Caros Fodor and Pat Healy will collide in a main card bout, which will air on Showtime. Fodor has won five straight inside the Strikeforce cage, while Healy is coming off a submission win in September over Maximo Blanco.

Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey takes place in Columbus, Ohio. While the main card airs on Showtime, the prelims also find a broadcast home at Showtime Extreme.

Bellator season-six start pushed back

Instead of launching its new season on a weekend that already features both UFC and Strikeforce events, Bellator has pushed its scheduled season-six start date to March 9.

The show, Bellator 60, takes place in Hammond, Ind., and features a featherweight title tilt between Joe Warren and Pat Curran, as well as the opening round of the eight-man featherweight tournament. The main card airs live on MTV2 and the prelims will stream on Spike.com.

McCorkle signs with Bellator, fights Richard White at Bellator 60

UFC veteran Sean McCorkle has signed to compete on the preliminary card of Bellator’s season-six opener, Bellator 60. McCorkle, who has won three straight since parting ways with the UFC, will meet Richard White, who has lost 10 of his past 12 outings.
The fight will be a portion of the free live stream on Spike.com.
