UFC on Fox 2 Weigh-in Results:

The UFC today conducted weigh-ins for Saturday evening’s UFC on Fox 2 event. All fighters made weight for their scheduled bouts, including all six fighters set to compete on the Fox broadcast.

UFC on Fox 2 takes place at the United Center in Chicago, with the main card airing live on Fox, while the prelims air live on Facebook and Fuel TV.

Bellator 61 lineup, venue revealed

Bellator’s second event of season six will bring some closure to season five.

Bellator today announced that Bellator 61 will take place at the Horseshoe Dome in Bossier City, La., and will feature the rematch of season five’s heavyweight tournament finals, as well as the start of the season six middleweight tourney.

The season five heavyweight tournament ended in uncertainty, as Thiago Santos landed an accidental illegal low blow against Eric Prindle that led to the bout ending in a no-contest. The two will now rematch to determine the season-five champion and who is next in line for a shot at Bellator heavyweight kingpin Cole Konrad.

In addition, the season-six middleweight tournament gets underway with quarterfinal action pitting Maiquel Falcao against Norman Paraisy, Brian Rogers against Vitor Vianna, Vyacheslav Vasilevsky against Victor O’Donnell and Giva Santana against Bruno Santos.

The event takes place on March 16 with the main card airing live on MTV2.

Sotiropoulos out, Mitsuoka in against Gomi at UFC 144

George Sotiropoulos has been forced to withdraw from a scheduled UFC 144 lightweight contest against former Pride champion Takanori Gomi. Stepping in for the Australian will be one of Gomi’s fellow countrymen, Sengoku and Dream veteran Eiji Mitsuoka. Mitsuoka will be making his Octagon debut at the event and is currently riding a two-fight winning streak.

UFC 144 takes place at the Saitama Super Arena on Feb. 26.
