Debuting middleweight Sean Loeffler suffered an ankle injury while warming up for his UFC on Fuel preliminary card bout with Buddy Roberts and was forced to pull out of the fight.
Subsequently, Roberts was also scratched from the card. UFC officials revealed that Roberts will take home his show money, as well as his win bonus, while Loeffler will receive his show money.
Featherweights Josh Huber and Fabio Mello will lock horns on March 2 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan.
Mello is a longtime veteran that has competed under the Pride, Hero’s, and Bellator banners. Despite falling short against big names like Takanori Gomi and Jose Aldo, Mello has reeled off five straight wins.
The Denver-based Huber is riding a four-fight win streak of his own entering the contest. Four of his seven career wins have come by submission, including a rear-naked choke over Josiah Callis in his last outing.

Highly-touted prospect Sergio Pettis will make his flyweight debut on May 4 at North American Fighting Championship “Colosseum.”
The younger brother of former WEC lightweight champ Anthony Pettis will battle Chris Haney at the event, which takes place from the Potawatomi Bingo Casino in Milwaukee.
Pettis enters the contest with a 3-0 professional record.
Eight fighters on the UFC 142 card underwent drug testing and all of the fighters tested clean for performance-enhancing drugs and recreational/drugs of abuse.
UFC Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs Marc Ratner revealed the results.
UFC 142 took place Jan. 14 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro and was headlined by a featherweight title fight between champion Jose Aldo and challenger Chad Mendes.
Both headliners and six others were tested. The additional fighters were not disclosed.
Japanese promotion Rings will make its return on March 9 with “Reincarnation,” from the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
Former kickboxer Takayuki Kohiruimaki will make his MMA debut against Englishman Ben Abbott in a two-round welterweight bout.
Rings began staging mixed fight cards in 1995, but has been inactive since 2002. The promotion launched the careers of stars such as Fedor Emelianenko and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
