Bellator 60 Weigh-in Results

It’s time for another season of Bellator fight action.  WIth Bellator 60 kicking off season six this weekend, Bellator today held its official weigh-ins for the event.  Not everything went as smoothly as the promotion could have hoped, however.  While headliners Joe Warren and Pat Curran hit their marks, one of the evening’s eight featherweight tournament participants did not.

Genair da Silva, who was set to fight Alexandre Bezerra in one of four featherweight tournament quarterfinal bouts set for the Hammond, Ind., show, tipped the scales at 149 pounds.  It just happened that one of the preliminary card fighters, Bobby Reardanz, also came in over the featherweight limit for his scheduled bout with Kenny Foster.  In bellator’s eyes, that amounted to a problem solved, as Foster was promoted to the main card and the featherweight tournament, where he will now fight Bezerra.  Both da silva and Reardanz have been scratched from the card.
