Georgi Karakhanyan Sick; TPF 12 Featherweight Title Tilt with Micah Miller Cancelled

Georgi Karakhanyan was unable to compete on Saturday at Tachi Palace Fights 12 due to sickness.

The bout with Micah Miller for the featherweight title was called off, and will be fought at a later date.

According to Karakhanyan’s manager, Karakhanyan has a stomach virus and was sick all night the day before the fight.

Fabricio Werdum vs. Mike Russow Slated for June

A heavyweight bout between Fabricio Werdum and Mike Russow is currently in the works, as both fighters have verbally committed to fighting one another.

The match-up is expected to take place when the UFC returns to Brazil in June, but no exact date or location has been made thus far.

Other rumors to be taking place on the card are Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen II and Vitor Belfort taking on Wanderlei Silva.

Six-fight main card official for April’s UFC on Fuel TV 2 event

For the UFC’s second appearance on Fuel TV, a total of six bouts are official for the main card.

With Antonio Rogerio Nogueira pulling out the event, Thiago Silva has been slated to face Alexander Gustafsson in the main event. UFC on Fuel TV takes place on April 14 from the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

The UFC on Fuel TV lineup is as followed:

  • Alexander Gustafsson vs. Thiago Silva
  • Alessio Sakara vs. Brian Stann
  • Siyar Bahadurzada vs. Paulo Thiago
  • Diego Nunes vs. Dennis Siver
  • DaMarques Johnson vs. John Maguire

‘UFC Primetime’ returns to FX for ‘UFC 145: Jones vs. Evans’

To document the biggest feud in the light heavyweight division, FX will be on top of the action.

In preparation for their fight in April at UFC 145, light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Rashad Evans will be featured on ‘UFC Primetime’, which is a three-part series that goes in depth about the training and lifestyle of fighters.

The first episode will be shown on April 6 at 11 p.m. ET on FX, with new episodes coming every week.

“UFC 145: Jones vs. Evans” takes place on April 21 from the Philips Arena in Atlanta.

‘Bellator: MMA Onslaught’ Game Coming This Summer to Xbox 360, Playstation 3

A new MMA video game is expected to be released this summer based on Bellator Fighting Championships.

345 Games and Spike TV have announced that “Bellator: MMA Onslaught” will be available to gamers on both Playstation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace.

When it releases this summer, it will be the first game based on Bellator. Details on the game are unknown for the most part, but one option for players is to create fighters and battle each other online.
