Wyoming creates MMA board

Mixed martial arts is now regulated in the state of Wyoming thanks to recently passed House Bill 87.

The sport was not illegal in the state previously; however, because it was not overseen by an athletic commission, official fighter records did not include results from bouts held within the state.

With the new law, the state becomes the 45th to regulate MMA.

The bill, sponsored by Representative Bryan Pedersen, had been unanimously approved by both the state’s Senate and House of Representatives.
