Brock Lesnar returns to the WWE

World Wrestling Entertainment had the city of Miami, Fla.—and the whole world—talking after their post-Wrestlemania  edition of their flagship program, Monday Night Raw. Former WWE champion and retired former UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar returned in front of a live crowd at Miami’s American Airlines Arena after many rumors and much speculation about his future—a future that was left in a state of limbo after a UFC 141 loss to Alistair Overeem caused the former champion and decorated amateur wrestling star to announce his retirement.

John Alessio returns at UFC 145; replaces injured Matt Wiman against Mark Bocek

A knee injury has forced Matt Wiman to bow out from his UFC 145 bout against Mark Bocek, leaving an opening for a returning John Alessio to face Bocek at UFC 145: Jones vs. Evans in Atlanta, Ga.

Wiman would have come off of a win over Mac Danzig to face Bocek, who handed Nik Lentz his first legitimate loss at UFC 140, but instead, Bocek will be facing Alessio—a UFC veteran who is winless with the world’s largest proving ground, but has gone 10-1 in his past eleven fights.

Bellator signs undefeated Phelipe Lins

It’s unknown exactly when or where 5-0 light heavyweight prospect Phelipe Lins will represent the Nova Uniao Kimura team once again, but when he comes off of his first-round KO win over Daniel Alexandre, he will have a home in Bellator Fighting Championships.

The debut fight of this young prospect is unconfirmed, but is expected to commence as a season-six non-tournament bout, though it’s not for certain that an improvement to 6-0 as a professional will grant Lins a spot in the next light heavyweight tournament.

Spencer Fisher vs. Sam Stout to complete trilogy at UFC on FX 4

Spencer “The King” Fisher and “Hands of Stone” Sam Stout have split two bouts against each other, with Stout winning the first bout by split decision—in his UFC debut—and Fisher taking the second bout by unanimous decision. Now a long-awaited third one is on the horizon for the two UFC veterans—both of whom are coming off of respective losses to Thiago Tavares in Rio, with Fisher being finished by TKO against Tavares at UFC 134 and Stout losing a unanimous decision to Tavares at UFC 142 earlier this year.

Tom DeBlass replaces Jorgen Kruth; meets Cyrille Diabate at UFC on Fuel TV 2 in Stockholm

An undisclosed injury will prolong the debut of highly-touted Jorgen “The Last Viking” Kruth, but Cyrille “The Snake” Diabate will still see action against an undefeated newcomer at UFC on Fuel TV 2 at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. He will look to erase the sting of a submission loss to Anthony Perosh by defeating 7-0 Ring of Combat veteran and Ricardo Almeida Jiu-Jitsu product Tom DeBlass, who owns four total finishes—half by TKO and half by submission—and three decision wins in a seven-fight career run.
