Source: MMAWeekly Alexander Shlemenko sustains injuries in car accident Bellator’s Alexander Shlemenko was in a car accident on Wednesday in Russia, suffering a dislocated thumb and broken collarbone. According to the vice president of Shlemenko’s gym, Alexei Zhernakov, the middleweight was riding in the passenger seat when a drunk driver struck the vehicle. The two-time Bellator tournament winner will be forced to wear a cast on both his thumb and shoulder for a little over a month, and then must attend physical therapy to get back to full health.
