Jon Fitch to welcome Aaron Simpson to the welterweight division

Aaron Simpson will move down to welterweight for his next fight, but his opponent won’t be an easy win for him.

Simpson will be taking on former 170-pound No.1 contender Jon Fitch, but no date has been set as of now.

According to reports, a possible card where the two could meet is at UFC 149 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on July 21.

Alexander Shlemenko sustains injuries in car accident

Bellator’s Alexander Shlemenko was in a car accident on Wednesday in Russia, suffering a dislocated thumb and broken collarbone.

According to the vice president of Shlemenko’s gym, Alexei Zhernakov, the middleweight was riding in the passenger seat when a drunk driver struck the vehicle.

The two-time Bellator tournament winner will be forced to wear a cast on both his thumb and shoulder for a little over a month, and then must attend physical therapy to get back to full health.
