Nick Diaz’s NSAC hearing on hold Former Strikeforce champion and UFC title challenger Nick Diaz will have to wait a little longer to have his day in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The Nevada attorney general revealed that the fighter’s appeal won’t proceed without a medical-marijuana card previously agreed to be admitted in the commission proceedings. Diaz’s appeal of a suspension the NSAC issued thus has been tabled and isn’t on the agenda for the commission’s April 24 meeting in Las Vegas. Source: MMA Junkie Roland Delorme set to meet Nick Denis at UFC on Fox 3 Bantamweight Johnny Bedford has been injured and is off the UFC on Fox 3 card. In his place against Nick Denis will be Ultimate Fighter season 14 alum, Roland Delorme. The event is headlined by a lightweight bout between Jim Miller and Nate Diaz and takes place from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J. Source: Sherdog Tim Elliott steps in to face John Dodson Ultimate Fighter 14 winner John Dodson also has a new opponent at UFC on Fox 3 as the flyweight will now face newcomer Tim Elliott. Dodson was originally set to face Darren Uyenoyama, but an injury has sidelined the California-based fighter. Elliott comes to the UFC with an 8-2-1 record. Source: MMA Weekly UFC on Fuel TV 2 medical suspensions Alessio Sakara and Paulo Thiago were the only two fighters handed suspensions following their knockout losses at UFC on Fuel 2. Both have been suspended 28 days by the Swedish MMA Federation. UFC on FuelTV 2 took place this past Saturday, April 14, at Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe Arena, and it marked the UFC’s debut in Sweden.
