Rousey will put her title on the line against Sarah Kaufman on Aug. 18 in San Diego, Calif. No venue has been named yet, but the event is expected to air on Showtime. Martinez has a record of 7-1, including a recent win over NCAA wrestler Mark Ellis. The newest member is expected to make his return on Aug. 24, but Martinez’s opponent is unknown at this point. “The second I heard Bellator had interest in bringing me over, I thought the move was a no-brainer, so everything came together pretty quickly,” said Martinez. “Bellator without a doubt in my mind has the hungriest and most exciting fighters in this sport, and I want to be a part of that.” Source: The MMA Corner John Albert set to file appeal for controversial loss to Erik Perez at TUF Live Finale After a controversial stoppage in his last fight, John Albert is looking to appeal. Against Erik Perez, referee Kim Winslow stopped the fight saying Albert tapped out to a submission hold, however, Albert never did such. Albert is expected to discuss the matter with the Nevada State Athletic Commission soon. After recently signing with Legacy Fighting Championships, Schnell will debut at Legacy FC 14 against Ryan Hollis. Legacy FC 14 is expected to take place on Sept. 14 from Houston’s Arena Theater.
