Rafael ‘Feijao’ Cavalcante Tests Positive for Banned Substance Following Mike Kyle Win

After his bout with Mike Kyle last month, Strikeforce light heavyweight contender Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante tested positive for a banned substance, according to the California State Athletic Commission.

Cavalcante failed a drug test, and has been suspended for a year. The Brazilian will also be docked $2,500 as well.

No information has been released regarding the substance taken.

Pague Looks to Make it Two Wins in Two Weeks

After competing just two weeks ago at UFC on FX 3, bantamweight Dustin Pague has stepped up to take a fight against Ken Stone after Francisco Rivera went down with an injury.

Pague and Stone will square off at UFC on FX 4 this Friday, June 22 in Atlantic City, N.J.

Headlining UFC on FX 4 will be a lightweight clash between Clay Guida and Gray Maynard.

Shawn Jordan Replaces Injured ‘Minotauro,’ Will Face Cheick Kongo at UFC 149

The long list of injuries of UFC 149 continues as Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira has been forced to pull out of his bout with Cheick Kongo.

According to sources, Nogueira never fully healed after losing to Frank Mir at UFC 141, where Mir broke the arm of the Brazilian.

Kongo’s new opponent for UFC 149 will be former LSU football player Shawn Jordan. Jordan will be making his second appearance inside the Octagon.

UFC 149 takes place on July 21 from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

With Stittgen-Guimaraes official, UFC on FUEL TV 4 lineup finalized with 12 bouts

With a welterweight bout between Dan Stittgen and Marcelo Guimaraes being made official, the lineup for UFC on FUEL TV 4 is set.

Main eventing the 12-fight card will be a key bout in the middleweight division between Mark Munoz and Chris Weidman. The main card will air on FUEL TV, with the prelims kicking off the night on Facebook.

UFC on FUEL TV 4 takes place on July 11 from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.

UFC 147 weigh-ins set for June 22 in Belo Horizonte, Dos Santos, ‘Shogun’ host Q&A

Weigh-ins for next week’s UFC 147 have been set for Friday, June 22 at 3 p.m. ET. Fighters will tip the scale from the Estadio Journalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Before the competitors weigh in, Chuck Liddell, Thiago Tavares, Rousimar Palhares, and Octagon girl Arianny Celeste will be available to sign autographs. Also, UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will host a special Q&A session.

UFC 147 takes place on June 23, and features Brazil’s own Wanderlei Silva taking on Rich Franklin for the second time. The main card will be featured on pay-per-view, with the prelims airing on FX.

‘Countdown to UFC 148′ debuts July 3 on Fuel TV

The UFC’s popular “Countdown to UFC” special will return next month to preview the highly anticipated UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II.

The show debuts on July 3 at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT) on FUEL TV, with replay airing the days leading into the event.

UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II takes place on July 7 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
