Following last week’s featherweight tournament semi-final bout, in this edition we will learn who goes on to UFC 147 to square off for the middleweight Ultimate Fighter: Brazil title.

To begin the thirteenth episode, highlights of last week’s show were shown, where Rony “Jason” Mariano Bezerra defeated Hugo “Wolverine” Viana by decision. “Jason” will move on to face Godofredo Pepey to determine the winner of the featherweight division.

Galvao Bueno announced that Cezar “Mutante” will take on Thiago Bodao to determine who will challenge Daniel Sarafian at UFC 147.

Preparations immediately began as coaches Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort prepared their fighters to compete. Silva went on to question the ability of “Mutante” as a fighter, and stated that he isn’t convinced by his skills.

Last-minute strategy changes were made, and the two Brazilians made their way to the Octagon, where Mario Yamasaki awaited them.

MW Semi-final Bout: Cezar “Mutante” Ferreira vs. Thiago “Bodao” De Oliveira Perpetuo

From the opening bell, Silva wished he would have kept those comments to himself. “Mutante” doesn’t take his time to feel out his opponent, coming out instead with a nice combination of punches to throw Perpetuo off. After a clinch exchange, Ferreira threw a wild high kick that missed, but he made up for it on his next one. “Mutante” let loose with a head kick that caught “Bodao” square on the head, immediately knocking him out.

Ferreira’s teammates went crazy in celebration, but “Mutante” went to check on his opponent to make sure he was alright. “Bodao” was so out of it, he pleaded that he could still continue.

Official result: Cezar “Mutante” Ferreira def. Thiago “Bodao” De Oliveira Perpetuo by knockout (head kick). Round 1, 1:22

After the fight, Galvao announced the awards for the first season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil.

Ferreira was the big winner as he received a check for his Knockout of the Season over Perpetuo and was given a Ford truck for having the fastest total time in the Octagon over the course of the season.

Submission of the Season went to Rony Bezerra for his armlock over Anistavio Gasparzinho in the quarterfinals. Lastly, Fight of the Season went to Perpetuo and Trinaldo “Massaranduba” for their bout in the quarterfinals. All winners received 45 thousand Brazilian Real.
