UFC on FX 4 Bonuses

UFC on FX 4 took place on June 22 from the Revel Casino and Resort in Atlantic City, N.J. The main event saw Gray Maynard earn a split decision over Clay Guida, but it was the rest of the card that stole the show.

In a Facebook prelim fight, Dan Miller picked up Submission of the Night honors with his third-round guillotine choke over Ricardo Funch.

Co-main event fighters Sam Stout and Spencer Fisher were awarded Fight of the Night to end the trilogy between the two.

Lastly, Cub Swanson took home the Knockout of the Night bonus for putting away Ross Pearson in the second round with a left hook.

Each fighter received a bonus of $50,000.

Seven fighters from UFC on FX 4 have received medical suspensions from the New Jersey State Athletic Commission.

  • Gray Maynard: Suspended 45 days for facial laceration
  • Sam Stout: Suspended indefinitely but may be cleared early by physician following X-ray of facial bones. Nonetheless, suspended 45 days for facial laceration
  • Spencer Fisher: Suspended 45 days for facial laceration
  • Joey Gambino: Suspended indefinitely but may be cleared early following CT scan of facial bones. Nonetheless, suspended 90 days for facial laceration
  • Nick Catone: Suspended indefinitely but may be cleared early following X-ray of the nose. Nonetheless, suspended 60 days for facial laceration
  • Ross Pearson: Suspended 45 days for facial laceration
  • Luis Ramos: Suspended 30 days for facial laceration

UFC on FX 4 Friday drew a reported 4,652 attendance at the Revel Casino and Resort in Atlantic City, N.J.

The amount was announced at the post fight press conference Friday night.

XFC 19: Charlotte Showdown announced for Aug. 3

In a press release from Xtreme Fighting Championships, the promotion will travel to Charlotte, N.C., for their next event on Aug. 3.

The main event will feature newly signed Corey “The Real Deal” Hill taking on undefeated Jason South.

Maximum Fighting Championships signs Flynn vs. Mutapcic for MFC 34

In a press release sent to The MMA Corner, Jacen Flynn and newcomer to the MFC Elvis Mutapcic have been signed to fight each other in two months.

The two will meet on Aug. 10 at MFC 34: Total Recall as part of the televised card on HDNet. The event will take place from the Mayfield Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The main event features a lightweight title fight between Adam Lynn and Mukai Maromo.

Resurrection Fighting Alliance Inks NCAA Wrestling Champ Gregor Gillespie

Gregor Gillespie, a four-time NCAA All-American wrestler, has signed a five-fight deal with the Resurrection Fighting Alliance.

Gillespie is expected to make his debut in the upcoming months, but no opponent or date has been made thus far.
