Jamie Varner vs. Joe Lauzon set for UFC on Fox 4

After upsetting highly-touted prospect Edson Barboza at UFC 146, Jamie Varner will square off against Joe Lauzon on UFC on Fox 4 in Los Angeles.

The original bout for Lauzon was scheduled against Terry Etim, and after Etim withdrew, he was left without a dance partner for the event. Now, Varner will look to build off of his victory in May, when he meets Lauzon on Aug. 4.

Roland Delorme vs. Francisco Rivera official for UFC 149

UFC 149 added another bout to its prelims with Roland Delorme vs. Francisco Rivera.

Delorme is on a two-fight winning streak, where he finished both of his opponents inside the Octagon by submission, while Rivera is riding high off of his first UFC win.

UFC 149 will take place in Calgary on July 21.

Super Fight League adds Monson-Duffee, Sokoudjou-Prangley

India-based promotion Super Fight League recently announce the signing of a number of former UFC competitors and now those fighters have their debut bouts set.

The promotion has revealed heavyweight Jeff Monson will lock horns with Todd Duffee at SFL 4 on Sept. 8 in Bangalore, India. Also on that card will be Satoshi Ishii and well-traveledJimmy Ambriz.

Then on Oct. 6, Chennai will host Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Trevor Prangley at SFL 5.

The promotion is planning two more events in 2012, first in Hyderabad, and then in Mumbai.
