Colorado welterweight Chris “The Hammer” Holland is being targeted to welcome world-class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner Braulio Estima to the world of MMA this August.

The rumored bout was first announced by Inside MMA, and The MMA Corner has confirmed with sources close to the fight that verbal agreements are in place, but official bout agreements have yet to be signed.

Estima’s MMA debut has been rumored for some time now, and it appears that it will finally take place with Kansas City’s Titan Fighting Championship. A previous contract with Shine Fights fell through when the promotion folded. The Brazilian is one of the most decorated BJJ combatants on the planet. He has claimed titles at the Mundials, ADCC, Pan American Championship and European Championship. Estima recently signed with Authentic Sports Management in Florida and has been training with the likes of Rashad Evans and Jorge Santiago.

Holland, meanwhile, is coming off a second-round technical knockout of UFC and Pride veteran Phil Baroni in June at Ring of Fire 43. The 36-year-old carries a record of 5-3, with all five wins coming by way of knockout. The Factory X Muay Thai/MMA product has won three straight fights.

Titan FC 25 is slated for Aug. 24 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan., and is expected to air live on AXS TV. Other rumored participants include former UFC star Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and longtime WEC stalwart L.C. Davis. More bouts are expected to be announced in the near future.
