Today’s Topic: UFC 149 – Faber vs. Barao Predictions

On Saturday, July 21, the UFC will hold UFC 149 event from the ScotiaBank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

The event features former WEC champion Urijah Faber and Brazilian Renan Barao who will compete for the UFC’s interim bantamweight championship. Faber was originally expected to conclude his trilogy with current champion Dominick Cruz, but Cruz suffered a torn ACL while the two were coaching on The Ultimate Fighter: Live this spring.

In addition to the main event, the card also features longtime Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard making his highly-anticipated Octagon debut against Tim Boetsch, as well as veteran heavyweight Cheick Kongo taking on Shawn Jordan.

Saturday’s main card will air live on pay-per-view starting at 10 p.m. ET. The preliminary card will be split between an 8 p.m. ET broadcast on FX and a YouTube/Facebook stream that begins at 7 p.m. ET.
