Hopefully for Resurrection Fighting Alliance, the second time will be the charm for a featherweight tilt between Nick Macias (6-2) and Lance Palmer (4-0).

The MMA Corner has learned that the two will be matched up on Nov. 2 at RFA 4 in Las Vegas.

The pair was expected to meet at the promotion’s third event on June 30, but Palmer was forced out with an abdominal injury. Macias went on to demolish Sean Wilson at the event, scoring a second-round, rear-naked choke victory.

After recovering from his injury, Palmer would go on to compete at UVC 20 on Aug. 4 in his native Ohio. The former Ohio State wrestler kept his undefeated record intact and claimed the promotion’s inaugural 145-pound strap with a decision win over Jon Washington.

Macias trains out of Factory X MMA in Englewood, Colo. The well-rounded fighter has split his six career wins evenly between knockouts, submissions and decisions. He has never been finished, and one of his two losses is to former UFC and WEC veteran Tyler Toner.

Meanwhile, Palmer is based out of Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, Calif. The All-American wrestler has submitted two of his four opponents to date and holds a decision win over experienced veteran Chris David.

There will be a significant change in the pair’s second scheduled meeting. The upstart promotion will venture out of its normal stomping grounds of Kearney, Neb., to the confines of the Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas. This will be the Nebraska-based promotion’s first event outside its home state.

The event will feature a number of former UFC combatants, including Gilbert Yvel battling Marcio Cruz in the night’s headlining bout and Tyson Griffin taking on Efrain Escudero in the co-main event.
