Mike Ciesnolevicz signs with World Series of Fighting

UFC veteran Mike Ciesnolevicz has signed a multi-fight deal with the World Series of Fighting, according to his representatives at Apex Sports Agency. Ciesnolevicz, who most recently fought under the Prestige Fights banner, is coming off of shoulder surgery that has kept him out of competition since May 2011.

Ciesnolevicz defeated Neil Grove at UFC 95 before being released from the promotion following a loss to Tomasz Drwal in June 2009.

Conor McGregor to defend Cage Warriors Featherweight Title Against Jim Alers

Officials from Cage Warriors have confirmed that the promotion’s featherweight champion Conor McGregor will make his first title defense in his hometown of Dublin on Dec. 31. He’ll take on Jim Alers at Cage Warriors 51 at The Helix.

McGregor fights for the first time since winning the title in June and subsequently undergoing surgery to repair a facial injury, while Alers looks to extend a five-fight win streak and capture the CWFC featherweight belt.
