On Friday, Sept. 21, the UFC held the weigh-ins for UFC 152 from the Old Maple Leafs Garden in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Sept. 22 event takes place from the nearby Air Canada Centre. Twenty-three of the 24 fighters made weight as Brazilian Charles Oliveira missed by just .4 pounds.
The event features a quartet of championship combatants. In the night’s main event, light heavyweights Jon Jones and Vitor Belfort will lock horns for Jones’ 205-pound belt, a belt that Belfort once possessed.
In addition to the light heavyweight title fighters, the main card also features former bantamweight title challengers Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson battling it out for the promotion’s inaugural flyweight championship.
Also on deck is a pivotal middleweight matchup between Michael Bisping and Brian Stann, with both looking to make a claim for title contention. Light heavyweight Matt Hamill returns from retirement to welcome Roger Hollett to the Octagon, while featherweights Charles Oliveira and Cub Swanson round out the main card.
An additional seven fights fill the night’s preliminary card.
Saturday’s main card will air live on pay-per-view starting at 10 p.m. ET. The preliminary card will be shown on FX beginning at 8 p.m. ET, with a three fights streaming live on Facebook/YouTube at 6:30 p.m. ET.
