UFC on Fuel TV 5 draws a reported 7,241 in attendance for $970k live gate

Saturday’s UFC on Fuel TV 5 card drew, according to UFC officials, an attendance of 7,241 for a live gate of $970,000.

The card featured Stefan Struve vs. Stipe Miocic in the main event from the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England.

UFC on Fuel TV 5 bonuses: Pickett, Wiman, Struve, Miocic earns $40k awards

As after every event, the UFC gives out bonuses for fighter performances. On Saturday, the promotion handed out four checks, with each being $40,000.

For his knockout over Yves Jabouin, Brad Pickett earned Knockout of the Night, Matt Wiman picked up Submission of the Night with his armbar win over Paul Sass, and Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic were awarded Fight of the Night.

Nick Catone says he’s fighting T.J. Waldburger at TUF 16 Finale

According to his Twitter account, Nick Catone will fight T.J. Waldburger at The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale on Dec. 15.

No announcement has been made by the UFC yet, however, or where this will take place on the card.

The Finale will take place at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and will be headlined by coaches Shane Carwin vs. Roy Nelson.

Reuben Duran vs. Hugo Viana added to TUF 16 Finale

Another fight has been added to The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale on Dec. 15.

According to sources, agreements have been made where Reuben Duran will fight Hugo Viana at the event.

This will be a comeback fight for Duran after suffering an injury in 2011, while Viana will look to remain undefeated.

Marlon Moraes Named as Miguel Torres’ Opponent For Nov. 3 World Series of Fighting Debut

Miguel Torres now has an opponent for his fight on Nov. 3.

Torres will face Marlon Moraes at World Series of Fighting 1 from Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

The bout is expected to be the co-main event, as Andrei Arlovski will take on Devin Cole in the headline fight.
