Rashad Evans vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira possible for UFC 157

Former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans is expected to meet Brazilian Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, who is making his first trip to the cage in 2012.

The bout doesn’t have a set date yet, but sources say it is targeted for Feb. 2.

DREAM promotion to host press conference Thursday

The DREAM fight promotion will host a press conference Thursday to announce what multiple news sources say is a upcoming New Year’s Eve show.

The press conference airs online live at 5 a.m. ET.

Dream has not held an event since last year’s New Year Eve show.

Oliveira out, LeVesseur in against Chiesa

Lightweight Rafaello Oliveira has suffered a broken hand and he has been forced out of a scheduled UFC on FOX 5 fight with TUF winner Michael Chiesa.

In his place will be Marcus LeVesseur. The bout will take place on the FUEL TV broadcast of the preliminary card.

UFC on FOX 5 takes place Dec. 8. The preliminary card on FUEL TV starts at 5 p.m. ET and the main card on FOX begins at 8 p.m. ET.

WSOF main card gets Tyrone Spong vs. Travis Bartlett

Spong a former kickboxer makes his MMA debut on the WSOF 1 card.

He meets Bartlett at light heavyweight on the Nov. 3 card to be televised on NBC Sports Network.
