Suspension or not, Diaz and Koscheck aim for each other at UFC 157 on Feb. 2

Suspension be damned: Cesar Gracie says Nick Diaz wants Josh Koscheck, and regardless of whether Diaz said it or not, Koscheck wants the fight as well. They both hope that if the stars align, they will meet on Super Bowl Weekend (Feb. 2) at UFC 157. Koscheck and Diaz both fought and suffered losses earlier this year, with Diaz losing to Carlos Condit at UFC 143, and Koscheck losing to Johny Hendricks at UFC on Fox 3.

Riddle steps in to face Yousef at UFC 154 in Montreal

Just days after Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson withdrew from a planned UFC 154 bout with Besam Yousef, Matt Riddle steps in to combat the Swedish MMA prospect in the Facebook portion of the Nov. 17 event, which emanates live from Montreal’s Bell Centre. Yousef will still look to erase the sting of his UFC on Fuel TV 2 loss to Simeon Thoresen, while Riddle will look for redemption fresh off of his 90-day suspension for marijuana. The suspension resulted in Riddle’s UFC 149 win over Chris Clements being overturned to a no-contest.

Card vs. Richardson to take place at XFC 21

Jarrod Card returns from a stunning KO loss against Marlon Moraes to combat red-hot prospect Keith Richardson on Dec. 7 at XFC 21. Card replaces Luke Sanders to face Richardson, who recently defeated Lawson McLure in his XFC debut. As it stands right now, the substitution of Sanders for Card will have no effect on the fight’s main-card slot, as it still aims to kick off the night of fights on AXS TV.

Clark vs. Eggink at XFC 21

Heather Jo Clark found herself returning to the win column with her XFC 18 submission win over Avery Vilche. Now, coming off of that first-round win, Clark will compete with former USA Boxing Team member, Stephanie Eggink. Eggink took her talents to South Dakota to train with the likes of Shayna Baszler and many speculate that that training need to come in handy as she prepares for the Jackson-Winklejohn product.

Zaromskis gets 30-day medical suspension at Bellator 78 loss

After what some would argue as one of the worst stoppages in the history of MMA, Mike Kogan says his client, former DREAM welterweight champion Marius Zaromskis, got hit behind the ear but did not suffer any fatal damage after his loss to undefeated Andrey Koreshkov at Bellator 78. Now, Zaromskis must serve a 30-day medical suspension, as mandated by the Ohio State Athletic Commission. Zaromskis’ next move is unknown, while Koreshkov prepares for a Nov. 30 tilt with former Bellator champion Lyman Good at Bellator 82.
