Demetrious Johnson vs. John Dodson to Headline UFC on Fox 6

After announcing recently that its next card on Fox will take place in Chicago on Jan. 26, UFC officials revealed that the event will be closed by a flyweight title fight. On that night, flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will defend his belt against John Dodson in his first match since being crowned the UFC’s inaugural 125 pound king. Dodson earned a title shot with a recent win over Jussier Formiga.

UFC on Fox 6 takes place in Chicago’s United Center, and also features a lightweight fight between Anthony Pettis and Donald Cerrone.

“Rampage” Jackson to Fight Glover Teixeira at UFC on Fox 6

Former UFC light heavyweight titlist Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will fight rising 205 pound contender Glover Teixeira in January at UFC on Fox 6. Though the fight has not yet been officially announced by the UFC, Jackson took to his twitter feed to let his fans know about his next bout.

Teixeira has not lost since 2005 and most recently put a beating on fellow Brazilian Fabio Maldonado en route to a TKO victory (albeit by doctor stoppage) in October. Jackson, meanwhile, is coming off consecutive losses to current 205 pound champion Jon Jones in Sept. 2011 and Ryan Bader in February.
