Shane Carwin pulls out of TUF Finale against Roy Nelson

New card, new injury to plague a main event fight. It was announced that heavyweight Shane Carwin suffered a knee injury and would be pulling out from his fight with Roy Nelson.

The fight would have been the culmination of TUF 16 where the two fighters are coaching against each other. With the TUF 16 Finale card to air on FX and only a month removed—the card takes place on Dec. 15—the UFC will look to find a replacement for Carwin.

This is the third injury to Carwin since his loss to Brock Lesnar back in July of 2010. He has only fought once since then in a decision loss to now champion, Junior dos Santos, in June of 2011 at UFC 131.
