Griffin out of UFC 155 bout with Davis

TUF season 1 winner and former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin has suffered a “MCL tear and ACL strain” according to Dana White via Twitter.

This takes him out of the UFC’s year end, Dec. 29, UFC 155 event in which he was expected to meet Phil Davis.

UFC on Fuel 7 gains featherweight fight

TUF 15 alum Andy Ogle will face Josh Grispi at the Feb. 16 event from the Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Both featherweight fighters will be looking to get their first UFC win.

Faber vs. Menjivar rematch officially announced

Urijah Faber will meet Ivan Menjivar at UFC 157 on Feb. 23 from the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.

This will be the second clash between the two, having previously met at a regional event in Canada in 2006.

Renan Barao to defend interim title

After earning the UFC interim bantamweight title, Barao was expected to wait for champion Dominick Cruz’s return, but Cruz is out for an extended period of time due to surgery.

Michael McDonald will now challenge Barao for the belt.

The fight is expected to take place in early 2013.

Jewels: ’22nd Ring’ gains three bouts

The Japanese womens fight promotion Jewels has added three fights to their Dec. 15 show from Tokyo.

Emi Tomimatsu meets Nako Otsuka in a shoot boxing match.

Two MMA bouts will see featherweights Megumi Yabushita vs. Jade Marie Anderson and Miyoko Kusaka vs. Celine Haga.
