On Friday, Dec. 14, the UFC held the weigh-ins for its upcoming Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale event which takes place from the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas on Dec. 15. All 24 fighters made weight for the event.

The event is headlined by a heavyweight duel between The Ultimate Fighter 16 coach Roy Nelson and his former TUF 10 cast mate Matt Mitrione. Nelson was expected to meet his TUF 16 coaching adversary Shane Carwin, but Carwin was forced out with a knee injury.

In addition to the main event, the FX-televised main card also features the finals of the reality show. In the welterweight final, Canada’s Mike Ricci looks to become the first winner from north of the border when he battle undefeated Colton Smith. Another heavyweight clash graces the main card as striking stalwarts Pat Barry and Shane Del Rosario will do battle. Also on deck is a lightweight match-up between veterans Jamie Varner and Melvin Guillard, as well as featherweights Dustin Poirier facing TUF winner Jonathan Brookins.

The event will feature a total of 12 bouts. A five-fight main card will air on FX beginning at 9 p.m. ET, while the undercard will be split between a two-hour, four-fight broadcast on Fuel TV beginning at 7 p.m. ET and a three-fight, 90-minute Facebook stream that begins at 5:30 p.m. ET.
