Injury bug strikes again, Kuiper-Roberts now set for UFC on Fox 6 Brazil’s loss is Chicago’s gain. First Thiago Perpetuo was expected to face fellow middleweight Michael Kuiper on Jan. 19 at UFC on FX 7 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but was replaced by Caio Magalhaes due to injury. Now, Magalhaes has also succumbed to injury and Kuiper will shift to the Jan. 26 UFC on Fox 6 event in Chicago. Across the cage from Kuiper will be Jackson’s MMA product Buddy Roberts, who last competed at UFC 150 in August. UFC on Fox 6 takes place from the United Center in Chicago. The event is headlined by a flyweight title fight between champion Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson. Kuiper vs. Roberts is expected to be part of the prelims. Source: MMAJunkie Cage Warriors 51 undergoes last-minute changes The Dec. 31 Cage Warriors 51 event slated for The Helix in Dublin, Ireland has been shaken by injuries. John Michael Sheil has sustained a knee injury and is out of a planned welterweight bout with Jack Mason. Mason will now meet Florent Betorangal. Also falling victim to a knee injury was bantamweight Liam James. No suitable replacement could be found for his opponent Alan Philpott, who has been pulled from the card A lightweight bout between Paul Redmond and Ryan Roddy will be promoted to the main card.
