Injury bug strikes again, Kuiper-Roberts now set for UFC on Fox 6

Brazil’s loss is Chicago’s gain.

First Thiago Perpetuo was expected to face fellow middleweight Michael Kuiper on Jan. 19 at UFC on FX 7 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but was replaced by Caio Magalhaes due to injury. Now, Magalhaes has also succumbed to injury and Kuiper will shift to the Jan. 26 UFC on Fox 6 event in Chicago.

Across the cage from Kuiper will be Jackson’s MMA product Buddy Roberts, who last competed at UFC 150 in August.

UFC on Fox 6 takes place from the United Center in Chicago. The event is headlined by a flyweight title fight between champion Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson. Kuiper vs. Roberts is expected to be part of the prelims.
