Bellator 90 adds Rad Martinez vs. Shahbulat Shamhalaev FW finals

Finally we will have a resolution to the Rad Martinez versus Shahbulat Shamhalaev season seven featherweight tournament final.

Bellator 90 has added the featherweight scrap to the Feb. 21 card in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Martinez—a West Jordan, Utah native—will get the home field advantage for the fight that has spent nearly forever trying to come to fruition.

The two were originally scheduled to meet at Bellator 83, but in a stunning turn of events Shamhalaev was pulled from the fight after the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board officials witnessed the Russian featherweight vomiting backstage. Shamhalaev and Martinez will battle it out now at Bellator 90 for the $100,000 grand prize and a title shot at the winner of the Pat Curran/Patricio Freire title fight at Bellator 85.
