The UFC is headed back to Sweden.

After visiting the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm last April for UFC on Fuel TV 2, the promotion will make a return trip for UFC on Fuel TV 9 on April 6.

In the night’s five-round main event, rising light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson will once again fight in his own backyard as he welcomes former Strikeforce light heavyweight kingpin Gegard Mousasi to the Octagon.

Gustafsson has surged through the 205-pound ranks, reeling off six straight wins. The towering Swede bested former UFC champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC on Fox 5 in early December. Prior to that, Gustafsson topped another Brazilian, Thiago Silva, when the promotion last visited his home country. The 26-year-old’s lone defeat came against Phil Davis nearly three years ago and the fighter has his sights set on current UFC champ Jon Jones.

The Dutch-Armenian standout Mousasi has tasted defeat just once in the last six years and only three times in his lengthy 38-fight career. He recently dispatched of Mike Kyle via first-round rear-naked choke at the final Strikeforce event on Jan. 12. Mousasi has competed under the Pride, Dream and Rings banners over his decade-long career. Eighteen of his 33 career wins have come by way of strikes.

At this time, no other fights have been announced for the event. However, the promotion is expected to announce more details in the coming weeks. Tickets for the event will go on sale to the public on Saturday, Feb. 9.
