UFC 157: Ronda Rousey Pre-Fight Video Interview The MMA Corner Staff February 19, 2013 UFC, Video On Saturday, Feb. 23, the UFC will hold UFC 157 from the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. The event will feature women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who will compete in the Octagon for the first time against former Strikeforce title challenger Liz Carmouche. The historic bout will mark the first women’s fight in the promotion’s history. Saturday’s main card will air live on pay-per-view starting at 10 p.m. ET. The preliminary card will be split between an 8 p.m. ET FX broadcast and a YouTube stream beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET. Rousey has yet to taste defeat since transitioning to MMA from judo. The former Olympic bronze medalist has finished all six of her professional bouts and three amateur fight by first-round armbars. She captured the Strikeforce bantamweight title last March with a vicious submission of Miesha Tate. When Strikeforce was folded into the UFC at the beginning of 2013, Rousey was made the UFC champion. Now she will look to continue her dominance of the 135-pound division when she faces Carmouche.
