Jimy Hettes set for UFC 159 fight with Steven Siler

One more fight has been added to UFC 159 in the form of a featherweight bout between Jimy Hettes and Steven Siler.

Siler, a “Ultimate Fighter” alum, is currently 3-1 since coming off of the show most recently losing to Darren Elkins at UFC 154 by unanimous decision.Siler’s big win comes in the form of a unanimous decision victory over Cole Miller a year ago at UFC on FX 2.

After beginning his career with a perfect 10-0 record, Hettes lost his last time out at UFC 152 to Marcus Brimage by unanimous decision. Hettes is 2-1 in the UFC with his wins coming over Nam Phan and Alex Caceres.

UFC 159 takes place at the Prudential Center in East Rutherford, N.J. on April 27. UFC 159 is headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between Chael Sonnen and current UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones.

TUF 17 and Bellator 90 ratings in

The ratings for episode five of TUF 17 and Bellator 90 are in and they showed some pretty decent numbers for the two shows.

TUF 17 averaged 1.1 million viewers on FX this past Tuesday which is slightly down from the previous week’s episode that drew 1.25 million viewers. This past week’s episode saw Kevin Gastelum win another fight for Team Sonnen when he defeated Robert McDaniel with a second-round submission.

Bellator 90 drew 18,000 more viewers than last week’s Bellator 89 closing out with a grand total of 737,000 viewers on Spike TV. Bellator 85 still holds the highest number of viewers when it drew 938,000 last month.

Bellator 90 was headlined by the featherweight tournament final between Rad Martinez and Shahbulat Shamhalaev where Shamhalaev took a knockout victory in the second-round. Also on the card was Emmanuel Newton’s underdog, knockout victory over Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal in the light heavyweight tournament and Douglas Lima’s first-round knockout of Bryan Baker in the middleweight tournament.
