Shogun vs. Nogueira II to take place in June

A rematch of one of 2005’s best fights will take place in June for the UFC, as Mauricio “Shogun” Rua fights Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. In the first intense encounter, Rua took a unanimous decision. Now, the rematch sees Nogueira coming off of a win in a snoozer against Rashad Evans, while Rua comes off of a defeat against Alexander Gustafsson.

Mills signs with Cage Warriors

Not long after his UFC release, Che Mills already finds himself a home in the Cage Warriors promotion. The deal includes five fights for the promotion, where the knockout artist will remain at welterweight. As of right now, Mills remains off the schedule, but soon enough, the promotion hopes someone will chomp at the bit for a crack at Mills.

“Mutante” faces Dollaway at UFC on FX 8

Cezar Ferreira finally returns to the UFC when the promotion heads to Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil on May 18. He comes off of his win over Sergio Moraes to combat TUF 7 finalist C.B. Dollaway. “The Doberman” claimed Fight of The Night honors in a victory over Brazilian favorite Daniel Sarafian in his last tilt, and now stands at 2-0 in his past two outings.

Eggink vs. Magana title tilt set for XFC 25

XFC 25 on Apr. 19 will see history made as Stephanie Eggink fights Angela Magana for the promotion’s inaugural strawweight championship belt. Eggink defeated Heather Jo Clark in her first go with the promotion and remains a top name. Magana, meanwhile, stands as the promotion’s most experienced fighter and currently splits a win and a loss with Bellator fan-favorite Jessica Aguilar.

UFC debuts in Winnipeg this June

The UFC looks to break ground in the city of Winnipeg for their next trek to Canada. In all likelihood, the debut in Winnipeg will come inside the MTS Centre on June 15, the likely date for UFC 161. The promotion will return to Montreal for UFC 158 later this month and looks forward to a great debut in the capital of Manitoba.
